Materials include  Silica Woven Cloth fabric on outside layers  with Leather rimming and Ceramic cloth insulation between outer layers of Silica Cloth .

This is extremely effective on protecting your resting hand on hot surfaces.

Note:  Any true effective heat material will be in a yarn type weave , You will want to be careful to not   puncture the weave and or  cut into the fabric , It will want to come apart  due to its construction, So handle properly while using,
